Title: Picked up a "Smelly"
Post by: Tuolumne Lawman on August 06, 2021, 08:33:49 PM
I just picked up a really nice 1927 dated SMLE No.1 MK III with intact magazine cut off.  Really clean with good bore. Has some Arabic stamps on it.

Green with envy one of the holes in my collection

Been wrestling with a 1942 ‘B’ smle dispersion rifle trying to replace a wrecked forestock with a replacement semi inlet forestock. It’s been a real trial for sure. Getting closer though. Doesn’t smell any worse than any of my other British weapons.
