Title: Finally...
Post by: Terry Lane on April 21, 2006, 07:57:29 PM
Howdy all,
after five years of trying, my preaching has finally had some effect. It seems that The Nebraska Division of Travel and tourism has decided to target media ads to those folks who might actually be interested in Nebraska's history. Starting in March, print ads are appearing in "True West", "Wild West", "American Cowboy" "Midwest Living" and possibly other publications featuring photos of me at Scouts Rest Ranch in North Platte, Nebraska. When you see them, notice how me and the horse were "glistening". It was 105 degrees that day and we shot stills and videos for 10 hours. Take a look. Take care

Actually, about a month or two ago I bought a True West and found an ad for Scouts Rest Ranch that had me going " Oh, Oh, Cathy look at this! I know that guy!" :D

An then just yesterday I got my Shoot magazine and lo and behold there's more guys I know in an article about the NTR. Terry, is the guy in the NWMP mounties uniform a GAF member, or have you told him about the GAF?

Pitspitr sir,
I believe John Jordison is a member. If not, it's just that he hasn't taken the time to sign up. He's been pretty busy for the last year building his new log home. His office is outfitted like a Northwest Territories Freight office and Mountie office combination. He's been a friend of mine for over twenty years and for a while served as one of my Assistant Scout Masters. For years he was a buckskinner/French and Indian Wars living historian. I then introduced him to self contained cartridges and repeating firearms and he was ruined. Take care.

Sounds about like the route I took to get here.

Terry,

Outstanding! Getting Nebraska's history promoted to those who are interested is quite an accomplishment.

Congratulations.
