What is a Quick Loader

Second hand store find.. ??? Has a spring inside and leather out front works like a plunger,pushes inward and blows something out,looks like snuff was in it...has 1888 on the back..Quick Loader~American Can Co. New York

GunClick, you have the action of this thing all backwards. It doesn't blow things out of it. It sucks things into it. This is oviously a Victorian nose picker.

 Quick Loader  = Hunting Gun Powder Dispenser

 Quick Loader was produced by the American Can Co. (New York, Chicago and San Francisco) in the late 1800s to early 1900s. It was used as a firearm (gun-powder) primer or an insect repellant puffer. Measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter and the extremes measure 4 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches approximately. Circa late 1800s.

Rick, you better check and see how many rounds that quick loader will load, if it's more than 10 you may be in trouble.......

It was for BP & used as a charger for contained cartridges in hand reloading. The idea I suppose, faster than a powder dipper.
See if you can find an old 310 tool to go with it....

Quick Loaders are kinda rare, but they do turn up on Ebay . Not really expensive and fun collector for Folks like us.
