Historic Timeline of American Militrary firearms

Anyone in or passing through central Nebraska this weekend will wnat to check out an event at Fort Hartsuff SHP. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, the Nebraska Humanities Council, The Calamus Troop of the GAF and the Firtst Nebraska Reinactors will all combine to present the stellar event which will include historic firearms, reinactors and equipment displays in the setting of a Historic Fort. The Calamus Troop of the GAF will present the historic timeline of American Militrary firearms from the Civil War through Vietnam. The Nebraska Humanities Council is sponsoring the pesentation Custer in Nebraska by author Jeff Barnes. The First Nebraska Infantry will be on hand with their artillery pieces

Sounds like an interesting event, if I was closer I'd join in. But my collection doesn't cover quite as much, I only go from late Indian Wars through Korea. Can't afford M-14, M-16 or pre-45-70 anything!

It went pretty well, with a steady crowd both days.  As an aside, I got to fire a Parrott Rifled Gun.  Cool!
