Much fun was had by all.  Awards were presented about two hours ago.  Many photos were taken then and throughout the weekend.  I am sure an announcement will be posted reflecting the awards and that pictures will be posted as folks return home from what was a great national muster.  Dry Dock won the overall competition.  He worked hard and looked good earning it!  More to come from others.

Minor modification to Cowtown Scout's post.  First place BP Rifleman SS went to Jake Jones, not Jack.  Hats off to Jake and thanks Cowtown Scout for filling in the many blanks that I could not.

Fixed two typos.

I had a great time this weekend, and enjoyed meeting everyone.  A Big Thanks to the folks that put on this excellant event.  It was anounced that the Grand Muster will be back here next year the same weekend of November.

Congratulations to Drydock for winning the Iron Trooper for a second year.

Home safe but still a bit travel weary. Just a very brief report.

I must confess that I was somewhat disappointed . . .

The barracks had indoor plumbing and HOT water on tap. Very discouraging.

Dignified military demeanor was sabotaged by the constant laughter and talking in the ranks. And some wag decided it would be the height of comedy to squad me with the tallest men in the field. I had to stand on a hardtack crate to address their Adam's Apple properly.

Sadly, the Commissary was put together without thought to proper regulations! The menu offerings had variety, recognizable form and pleasing texture, and worst of all, flavor. (At least they got quantity right.)

All in all a most distressing experience I anticipate dreading next year.

What a great Match!  And  what a great facility!  YOU ARE ALL ORDERED TO ATTEND NEXT YEAR!!!!!

I  felt very lucky to win the BC.   With a 3 way tie for points at the end,  broken by postition  in shooting class.  One good pratfall  and Cowtown would have had Marksman and the points.  Rattlesnake Jack had a weapon malfunction that cost heavily in his  time, or he might very well have had his 2nd BC.   It was an honor and privilage to shoot with them all.  Just wish Charles Isaac  had been there.  I learned a lot about working a Krag watching him last year.

Hopefully you'll save some room for an addition or two. I haven't had to miss the GM 2 years in a row yet, and I don't intend to start now.

Cool Bowview!
Kinda OT but unless something falls through between now and then, there will be artillery at the Dept of Missouri Muster next summer. I have a guy lined up to come who has a parrott, a howitzer and several mortars.

Unless he has pack animals or a helicopter, you may have to find a different road in.  that turn at the bridge over the canal had me a bit spooked, not to mention the hill climb.

John, does that happen to be Colin Penny's howitzer? If so, it's the one that will be there!

OOPS, just re-read your post and realized that it's Gringo Jack's
