Never had a rifle chambered in it but I've had some revolvers and killed a bunch of deer with that round. It's a shorted 475 Linebaugh.
Thanks Deacon. Wife is still positive but feeling much better.

Black Jack Ketchem and I will both be shooting on Posse 34.  Posse 34 shoots Thursday late 3PM, Fri. early 7:30 AM and Sat. Middle 10:30.  Rick is staying off range.  I'll have my trailer on the range.  They tell me we'll be on the North range camping area but I won't know exactly where until we get there.

If everything goes right I'll be arriving tomorrow, Friday, wife and I will be staying at the Edmond Elk's camping area until Sunday, may try to make it to the gun show on Sat.  When Rattlesnake Kate and Diamondback Jack (not GAF) arrive from Colorado, hopefully on Sun.  we'll move over to the range so we can get campsites together.

Good morning to you all. Slim, get some rest and get to feelin better! 71 here right now, supposed to hit 82 and lots of sunshine. Good message at Prayer Meeting last night, our Pastor is a "meat & potatoes" preacher, just uses the Word of God and lays it out so clear and easy to understand. Praying for you all, Johnny, hope the Missus is doing better.

Cold pressed EVOO used sparingly works fine on leather. It doesn't go rancid like heat processed olive oil will. It was used for years, before there were commercial leather conditioners. I have used to use it myself until I started using Skidmore's. I can't attest to using it prior to gluing since I always apply glue to clean leather.

Got a 1911 I carried in the Gulf that I'm mighty fond of,  but I'd  have to say my .50-70 Shiloh Business Rifle.  Added bonus: don't even need a scope to see the holes at 100 yards.   ;D

This works great when the notch gets hard to see.  I've gone to peep sights on most of my rifles because the Notchs have gotten too dang fuzzy.
