Well now, this thread has drifted a bit.  I generally do not get into political arguments, er, discussions.  I have been on the Wire and this forum since the beginning.  I get a lot out of both.  I ignore more posts, and more posters, on the Wire, but still find plenty of good for me.

As for our fearless leader, I guess I'll weigh in.  Trump is a buffoon.  But he is our buffoon.  I voted for him and will do so again, but only due to lack of a better choice.  He has divided our country more than it ever has been (though it had a really good start before the election), but has also accomplished a great deal, and that is important.  If this man had a different personality, which I think is the main problem, there is no telling how much better off we might all be, but he is what he is and isn't going to change.  So we do the best we can, and pray for the future of our leaders and our country.

True. Canada is a Confederation of self-governing Provinces. We have been labouring under the 'first-past-the-post' system since 1867. Any party that gets 40% of the popular vote gets to form a majority government.

There are clear cut firewalls between federal and provincial powers, which is why Trudeau has not been able to invoke the Emergency Measures Act. All the provinces must enact their own versions before that can be implemented.

 Where's your proof? What's the crime/crimes . I'm sure if Comey could have found anything, he would have!! Since they couldn't, they broke laws (fisa warrants to be specific and multiple times !) , about a bought and paid for "dossier"  by the Democratic party (with Hitlery's money!)   ruined lives of those that had nothing to do with elections.  Oh yeah, if Trump had destroyed evidence that had been subpoenaed (bleach bitted and the like) you think Comey would look the other way? How much is due to Trump?s ineptitude or his intentional lack of normal respect that a President of the United States would properly show a fellow American or foreign leader I don?t know. But he is the only choice we have. Its a bad election when an American voter?s presidential choice is for whom he dislikes the least. I voted against Hillary last time, guess I?ll vote against Biden this time. It?s hard to believe that as great as this country has been and the great things it has done and sacrifices it?s made there are no great men who can lead it.

I know, President Trump just has the lowest national unemployment rate since we've been keeping records. More minorities working and off of food stamps and  welfare since 1964.  Booming stock market (which is on hold now during the pandemic, of course he'll be blamed for that too -why not?)  which has hit highs never before seen and probably will hit 30,000 by years end. Highest job growth in the last 40 yrs. Companies leaving China and coming back to the states. Made us oil independent (something that should have happened long ago, Trump got it done).
  Donates his salary, wasn't a politician, completed almost all his campaign promises (instead of working one one or two like a politician). He's a do'er. Gets things done.  Wouldn't get away with telling constituents their full of S*it like sleepy Joe can.    Baltimore Ed, I can see your problem, you just want somebody to do nothing. Instead of giving specifics, it's easy to just "generalize".  Lesser of two evils .  .  .  fun to say.

 Imagine if you could actually do 1 or 2 of those historic things while having a media that wouldn't give you any fair treatment but will run a lie headline in a heartbeat.  And people can't understand why he continues to use Twitter to have a voice??!   I can't believe how many folks there are in the Cowboy shooting that can't wait to vote someone in that will disarm us all .  .  .     that's disgusting .  .  .

  Maybe you're mistaken and thinking about how Obama bowed to foreign leaders (historically, U.S. presidents Don't bow (as a subservient) to other leaders).  When he was on his apology tour? ( apologizing for U.S. dominance).

Instead, I notice Trump saluting each time on and off AF One  and Marine One, not kowtowing to other leaders being basically .  .  .  Presidential !!!
