Very nice outfit of vintage style tools and leather. Using tools like that adds a lot to the enjoyment of a hunt.

Beautiful buck, taken with a '73 in a classic caliber, and with a vintage outfit. That is hunting done right!

The coyote pelt was taken with a 45 colt pistol about 10 years ago . I was so proud to take a Coyote with a pistol I had the hide tanned . Plan on chasing coyote this weekend , if the weather will cooperate ?

Thank You for the kind words . I am proud of that Trophy , them critters are hard to get with a rifle  . Several years ago I was out scouting for Turkey when we noticed a pack of coyotes moving through the woods . I started calling and I was able to break one away from the pack . I called him to within 30 yards of where we were sit up . Then I used my favorite Muzzle Loader a TC Pennsylvania Hunter , a 50 caliber round ball does an Excellent job on coyotes at 30 yards . That was the same muzzle loader I used this year to take a Coyote during Deer season ( muzzle loader ) .

Made my rounds today out  looking for Coyotes . I spotted 3 and killed 0 . They were not at 73 distance , about 400 yards .

Well, if you ever get one at that range we will be extra proud of you.

The 2013 Hunting season is over . Hope everyone had a successful season . I was able to take my first Buck with my 73 , and was happy with the out come . Later I was able to take a small Doe , which has made for Excellent eating . Now for the 2014 Hunting season is here , Hope everyone has a chance to go Hunting . Wish everyone lots of luck on there Hunts in 2014 . My plans for 2014  Hunt more and enjoy just being there . Having a nice fire at night and sitting around visiting with my Hunting friends .
