APP kept hanging up in my Lee powder dispenser, so I switched to hand dipped. This being 2FFG, though, in .38spcl cartridge.

I guess I have one more question, do most of you run APP thru a standard powder measure on a progressive?  I know Coffin uses a Dillion, I have a Hornady A&P, that I have adapted a Hornady BP measure to work.  I also made a shell plate for it IOT reload .45 Schofield.

I really appreciate the info.  An outfit near here has a Cimarron S&W American with an 8" barrel, my main reason for asking was if APP would run in that gun.  From all I gather the short answer is no with a very dim maybe.  ;D  Also I am thinking about getting some since I am about out of GOEX.  Anyway thanks to all yall.

Skeeter beat me to the question.  Would love to see a shot of them on.   Also, if that is crude, I am going to quit posting.  It looks great!

Here’s a quick shot of the holster attached. Whenever I get the chance I’ll try and do some detailed photos of them on.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

Mine work great with BP.  That's all they see.

Mine, the trigger, bolt and cam were eventually replaced with Colt SAA parts.   I've got a hand waiting to eventually go in, but it doesn't get shot much now.

As someone who's never owned a conversion, or fired one, I'm curious if they play well with black powder?

YessSireeBob

Those conversions from ASM were absolutely GORGEOUS!!  Not exactly authentic, as they were more of an 1861 (Colt didn't convert 1861s) and the only thing that made them an "1860" was the Army pattern Grip Set.

Mine were .38 Special and were the most accurate revolvers I have ever owned.  Those guns would reliably shoot all six rounds into a ragged cloverleaf at 25 meters.  I was heartbroken by the almost complete lack of quality control.  Such a shame.

Why post here if you dont get notifications on this site?

Maybe because people would like to get a hold of me quickly so I let them know the best way to get a hold of me is by email. If your not interested in the gun keep your comments to yourself.
