A cooking related memory
« on: February 16, 2013, 05:34:10 PM »
In another place where I post about cooking, we got to talking about "self-rising flour"  the kind with baking powder and salt already in it, well a fond memory came back and I want anyone who can relate to it to pipe up, chime in or just plain speak up.

See it's Saturday night, most likely in the winter time  up here in my area when the ionosphere is higher up. We are going somewhere, the tubes are glowing hot in the car radio of that pink and white 57 Chevy 4 door Mom and Dad drive. The radio is set on 650 cause it is just an AM type.

Lester and Earl are the host this half hour, they just got done singin' about a "man named Jed" and his oil he struck, but now it's time for them to help pay WSM's bills and here it is, live from the Grand Ol' Opry in a time long, long ago but not that far away:
