Count me in too Grizz,I just picked up a chaparral 76 with a 28 inch barrel.The rifle is beautiful except for the wood.After reading some of the post on chaparral I checked out the head spacing it looks ok.I hope everything else is alright.I ordered new wood from Silverhill .The prices are std walnut 125.00,semi-fancy is 165.00,A grade is 200.00,AAgrade is 225 to 275.00 and AAA grade starts at 336. phone#336 746-5865. This information is for anyone interested in replacing there old stocks for something a little better.

Howdy,I've got some old Winchester's too but there 73's an 94's an I've got my eye on a 66 too but there's no site to talk an find people on can you help ne find those site's?I've been helped along by "Two Flint's" from the SSS site he's been very helpfull with my 1860 Spencer carbine finding out the history of it an what cavalry unit it was in ect.... Thankx,Shoots2 the right or PaulPs. I also collect old "Gallery" gun's too...22 pump's.... 1800's
