That sounds like an Excellent way to bring in the New Year . I need to break out my 76 and blow the dust out of it . I haven't shot it since I put the Rocky Mountain Front Sight on it . Don't know how it shoots ,but damn it looks Great .

i'd say i would want that feller on my side when things go bad. yeah alive, thats what "they " do with them is hound training. we catch the coyote in snare traps. we double swivle them and put whats called a whammy on them. a little spring. that lets the snare losen up when the coyote aint pulling on them. the last quote i was given was 75 bucks per coyote. me and my trapping pard been dealing with a feller who wants to buy from us but we aint got nothing nailed down solid yet

Hows the weather down there . We have actually had a little winter this year . I got my Lucky lotto ticket for tonight . That way we can start the hunt of a life time . We will do a Lonesome Dove hunt from Texas to Montana ,what ya think . We better start getting in shape now , that will be a lot of walking . We might want to get a few mules for the Mountains . You know a trip like that we will need a good camp Cook and Chuck Wagon .

We have 2 Hunters , now we need a good Cook ( Where's Del ) and a chuck wagon . Now we will need a few hounds to track the Mt. Lions . Now if we can travel 25 miles a day we can make it in 100 days . Can you be off from your family for a 100 days . Wonder
what kind of adventure we could get into on a trip like this . Now , if we went to San Antonio to find a cook and whacked a silly bar tender threw our shot glass up in the air and shot it , what would be the chance of getting out of town that same day .  ;D ;D ;D

Have you ever cooked Mt. Lion ?? I found a conversation on the cooking part of cascity about eating mt. lion . I guess it would make pretty good jerky being a lean meat . I read about Ben Lilly and it talked about him eating mt. lion ?
Well Coyote hunting is in , have worked with a new howler  ,and a few predator calls . Trying to get as light as possible considering I sometime carry my 76 . Working on having a possible bag to carry all calls ,and basic hunting gear . I carry my pistol the majority of the time . If I could get one close enough to take with a pistol that would be a trophy in my book . I guess I could call it The Book of Rowdy , the Guide to the Vintage Hunter .

Rowdy:
Couldn't help but note your question about eating Mtn Lion.
It is a pale meat sort of looks like roast pork and has a taste of sort of like a blend of roast pork and roast chicken.  I have had the pleasure of dining on it once or twice and it ain't bad a'tall.  So if you get a chance try it.  It is an experience you won't forget--that is if it is cooked right!
