Milsurp holsters
« on: December 04, 2022, 05:04:18 PM »
I like to have a holster to display with the Milsurp pistols.
I have several GI bring backs, some had the holster it was in
This Beretta M1935 had this holster and the capture paper.
And this Luger, has also had this holster since 1944.

Today, I bid and won this Swedish WW2 Husqvarna 1907 - FN 1903 pistols..
I've seen them offered at $140-$160  :o  WAYYYY beyond my pay grade and comfort zone...

But on rare occasions, a bargain is found on eBay...seller had not known what it was for ...

Its on the way for $15.00  ;D

The little new to me Savage 1907 fits quite well....

A goodly number of these pistols were sold to France (along with the Spanish Ruby) in WW1.
The Belgians and Portuguese also used them, not to mention US Domestic sales.
More than a few found their way South of the boarder too.

Nice, Major. That's quite a holster in the first photo. The toe has an extra layer as a cap on it.

I also like the one with the reenforced toe. Do you know what -where- who made it?

I do...it is WW2 Swedish for Husqvarna 1907 - a licensee to the Belgian FN 1903 pistols.

There several on eBay right now...one mint, maybe unissued @ $80

A coupla of nice, aged ones in the $30 range

And One guy has a rather rough one, at a "pipedream" asking price of $160 open bid
(I can image what's in the pipe)

I bid on an asking $10 opening bid...2 bidders and I topped his $15 bid with my $15.15 blind bid.
I don't have a 07 Husqvarna pistol, but the Savage fits, however the Magazine pouches are snug for double stack 07 Savage Mags. My Tokarev fit as well but the not the mags.

The French used the Savage (WW1) in quite similar holster.

It looks like those mag holders have their own flaps under the holster flap. I love this classic leather.

Those look like they're closed with snap fasteners instead of lift-the-dots. Thanks.
