SlowJack, now that you explain it that way,  I think you are exactly right. My 2nd Type II had the same issue. The bolt wasn't dropping fast enough, or the head was too tall. It put a line around the cylinder immediately just from checking to see if it was unloaded. There was no way to get the bolt to drop earlier, so I  shaved the bolt head down with sandpaper, keeping the angles the same,  until it cleared the cylinder and it has been fine since.  Again, good luck!

They have ordered a new barrel this time so I think maybe the trouble is a low arbor.  Maybe caused by the barrel.

Thank you for the recommendation.  I will keep this in case the revolver is sent to me a third time in need of work.  I have some other projects that I might send that way if not.

CAS City Classifieds / Single Loop Holster for 4 3/4” SAA
« Last post by BrushyCreekDouglas on Yesterday at 08:08:24 PM »
Evening Gents,

I’ve been working in the shop quite a bit lately and have been able to catch up on orders. Now I get to make the stuff I really enjoy making. Up for your consideration is a spin on a JS Collins style single loop. This one is made from fairly light Hermann Oak, hand stitched with linen thread waxed with beeswax. The holster is then finished with Neatsfoot Oil.

I’m asking $50 for this one plus shipping (normally about 10 bucks CONUS)

I hope everyone is doing well!

Here are a few snub nose holsters, the carved one well beyond my capacity to duplicate.
But they are very nice

Those are definitely very lovely holsters.

Johnny, you always did a great job writing stages, and compiling the scenario booklets! I remember when we met during my first trip to the NCOWS Nationals in Evansville, IN., probably 2011 or so? Thank you for staying involved by helping with the NCOWS Website!

Hmm...; the "4-2-4" wheel configuration on those small engines seems off to someone used to the classic "4-4-0"....  ::)

Or the classic 4-8-8-4 . . .

You mention 4-2-4, looking closer the lit'l Beaver engine appears to be a 4-4-4.
That being said, the Vender displaying the IAAPA machines may not have displayed the original, at least the years I recall  :-\
