If you can handle the pain.

I know this leaves a bad taste in our mouths but it is actually a good review of the "Zip" gun.

As well, this POS finished off a business that seems to have been thriving.

As well, this POS finished off a business that seems to have been thriving.

After The Evil Engulf and devour International Berretta conglomerate ate Uberti,
Someone up the corporate foodchain noticed that Uberti was collaberating with USFA.

The Evil Ones, never satisfied with ?enough? , decided they wanted the entire pie and pulled the rug
Out from under  Donally . .. without legal licensing he was boned.

I can only guess the plastic horror was his last gasp attempt at getting air before going under.

That thing represents such an inglorious and embarrassing end to what had become one of the premier makers of vintage styled single action revolvers. Every time I see a picture or hear of the name I want to puke. So to the OP, no I'm not handling the pain well.

Professor, could you enlighten me on the "licensing" part of your comment.  Did Mr. Donnelly have to have his revolvers licensed through Colt or Beretta?

Major 2,

My point exactly. Great review on how bad and unreliable the Zip gun was/is.

what Major said:

CNC programing was Uberti ....

without a defined contract and licensing, they were boned. Even if he had a contract, once it ran out, that was it.

The still birth USFA Remington project, promoted at the 2007 Shot Show was an early indication Beretta/ Uberti was cutting Doug D. off at the knees

Wow, I was not aware that someone could trademark or copyright a process to run CNC equipment.  Maybe exact program code, but not other programs written differently to do the same thing.

Thanks for the info.  Tis a shame.

Ya gotta love this guy!  Not only does he acknowledge the fact that he owns one of the worst handguns ever made, he is also able to laugh at himself because of it.
Fun post that got people talking.  Thanks Buckaroo!
