Today was cooler, good day at church but we had one of our older members pass away this morning. He had been failing, we are gonna miss him. Major2 you are gonna love Zaxby's if you haven't tried them yet. Their blackened chicken is really good.

Cloudy with a 51% chance of precipitation. Expected high is 80°

Hung a new ceiling fan yesterday, pretty much uneventful, but I just can't or really should not climb ladders
like I did in my 1st six decades  :-[
But I did it, satisfied, no pain and didn't have pay someone  :-\

And, "SHE" wants the living room freshly painted, I'll tackle that as well in stages.
I need to run get some painters tape, otherwise I got all other supplies when we bought the ceiling fan Saturday.

Honey due's are or seem more plentiful now, since I'm fully retired.

Ah Major, you are a better man than me.   I swear each time I put in a ceiling fan, it is my last.    I dislike ladders and have damaged shoulders enough that working above my head leaves me hurting for a few days.   That said, I think I have swore it was the last time, three times now.   Ha.    When you see the installation price, I usually think, well once more into the breach.

On-line guesstimate was $75-$95 per hour, average 1.5 -2 hours.

I had the old one down in about 20 minutes, assembled, wired and installed the new one in under an hour.
I did pace myself over about 3 hours though, but I figure I saved $150-$175 in actual labor.

However, I will put the painting off a day or so till masking is completed.

Well I gave them a try for lunch today, I was first rebuffed as the dine-in was closed, drive thru only.
They have varied menu of a theme , chicken buffalo style, wings, both conventual bone-in and the so call boneless.
Several sandwiches same basic flavors, and salads (zaleds).
Sadly nothing blackened, nada, zilch...I was saddened by that, not even offered
may be a regional thing Deacon  :-\

I opted for 5 mild boneless wings and 5 plain,  and blue cheese dip....

I was given a senior discount when I got to window just on sight alone...

and 15 Mild boneless whatevers and RANCH  ::)

Don't get me wrong, pleased by the discount ( which is 15 wings for the 10 wing price )
Except maybe 15 was a bit more that I should have had, and I like RANCH as much as the next guy...

But t'aint what I ordered,   :( tasty? was OK , I may go back and try something else, but I doubt it will be very soon...

Morning friends, 52 here right now and gray. Supposed to get to 66 and rain tonight. Got some bad news yesterday, nothing tragic, just annoying. I may have to cancel going to the Alabama State Championship next weekend. RATS! I have been looking forward to it all year. Anyway, maybe I can make another big shoot this year in addition to Comin' at Cha.

Howdy all. Well, it's raining and cool this day. Did get the broken faucet replaced yesterday so that was good. Working at the LGS this afternoon. Hoping my Baseball Cardinals can figure out how to start winning ballgames again! Anyway, y'all have a good day!

52 here right now on it's way to 71 with rain forecast for tonight. LadyC is heading out to give a piano lesson in a couple of minutes, I'm working on my coffee. Going into work this afternoon and then all day tomorrow, so it adds a bit to the hobby fund. Plan for next week is to do some more reloading then tear down and scrub the Dillon press. Y'all be safe, play nice and God bless you.

Morning all.

65 headed to 80 here in the State of Jefferson. Not a cloud in the sky that I can see.

Plans for today include a good hike with the dog to set up some trail cameras. I don’t really use them for hunting so much as just seeing what’s out there. I’ve gotten some good video clips of foxes, and a couple of squirrels. The place I’m going today has a lot of black bears, so hopefully I’ll get some good videos of those.

73° headed to 85°, rain expected this later afternoon into the evening, cooler by a several degrees tomorrow.

A bad wreck yesterday evening just down the road, took out the power poll and electricity in our area.
IDIOTS use Pinetree like a racetrack, speed limit is 40 but some pay that no never mind.
Apparently, the yahoo in a speeding small import sport sedan passed a car going east, and forced a Cadillac Escalade traveling west to swerve as near as they can sort it out.
The Escalade hit and snapped the power poll off at the base and was flipped on it passenger's side. The pole and transformer were on the ground and across the road.
The car that the idiot passed was involved with entire front plastic clip torn off. LEO's were looking for the perpetrator/idiot in the import sport sedan that caused it all.
They took someone(s) in the ambulance, but I don't know from which vehicle or both.
We figured we'd be without power for many hours, as the crews would have to replace the pole, install a transformer and re-string the downed wires.
Amazingly, we had power restored in about 1.5 hours.

Major, glad power was back on that quick. Pray the injured will be okay quickly and they find and castrate the import idiot. 56 here right now and raining, supposed to get to 71. Gunshow in town today and tomorrow, so we will be slow this morning at the LGS, then busy this afternoon when our regulars come in to tell us about the show. Hope you all have a good day.
