I already have an 7 piece set of Old Hickory kitchen knives (plus a sharpening steel) that we've owned for over 40 years, and about five years ago I bought a 22" machete made by Ontario Knife.  They (I think it was Ontario) used to sell an array of really nice Bowie knives, but I haven't seen them in a few years.  I couldn't afford one when I saw them.

BTW, I was born in Ontario, too...the one in Oregon.   ;D

After I posted the list of Canadian SASS clubs, I received this on my home email!

"Greetings Sir Charles.
    Are you a Remittance Man?
I see our gang in the list lifted from SASS, but it needs updating. I'll get to SASS shortly. Really what I'd like to see is just our website url listed. The fellow who's name & number appears, is on an extended hiatus. So this is us: www.ovmcowboys.ca , The Ottawa Valley Marauders.
Regards & keep 5 beans in yer wheel,
    The Stranger,
    Match Director"

"200Metres"  aka "40 Rod"  Now you know how to locate your cas destination in Ontario!

The Stranger;  Yes I am a "Remittance Man" Formerly of Shah SooJah's Troop, Indian Artillery.  I won't tell you why I had to leave!  Found my way to Fraser's River, but too late for the gold and the card games were too poor.  Now I have the freedom to re-invent myself, at will!  Perhaps I can find employment for my considerable military experience bringing Gabriel Dumont, "The Buckskin Brigadier", to heel in Saskatchewan.  Heaven knows that the NWMP did not show well at Duck Lake!
