Hit 106 here today, yeesh. Did sell my old 3D printer to a really nice 16 year old today. His Dad brought him by and he is really excited. Anyhoo, been running the new one pretty steady, gettng ready for a game convention Labor Day weekend in Texas. THEN gotta get ready for Comin at Cha later in the month. Been too stinking hot to work at the reloading bench and want a few hundred more rounds for this month and next. Temps are supposed to normalize next week.

You has 3-D printer(s) !?!?

And you hasn’t offered to make and sell 3-D stuff!?!?

Percussion cap holdrz, belt pouch block insertz, other wonderfulz stuff!

Can we has cheezeburger? 3-D printed?

Congratulations, a fine man raised right, and a proud Granddad.   :)

I'm working on a barn find WW1 Canadian Ross Rifle 1910 Mark II Bayonet.
It's kinda rough, but it will make a cool wall hanger for the loading room once cleaned up.

The old relic cleaned up enough to read :

ROSS RIFLE CO. / QUEBEC / PATENTED 1907 on the pommel, right
& a number 16 on the grip mounting flat

Afternoon Y'all, went to a CAS match today, shot clean, but went back to 4 good stages and a train wreck,My rifle jammed up on me and it took a while to clear it, 4 stages in high 20 second range and a 44 second train wreck. I guess it's best to get them out of the way before our State championship next month.

Looking at Temps 97° ...guessers say " real feel 115° "

A dip in the cement pond and hunkering' down in the AC is the plan for today and tomorrow.

Hung the old Ross barn find bayonet.

Temp is 100. The A/C went out on my car. Could be a grand to fix it.

I'm exploring all my options. Instead of sticking another grand into the car, I was thinking maybe leasing or buying another used car or maybe even a new car. I stopped at a new car dealership today. Terrible experience! The cost to lease a car is insane! Some of the shops that fix auto A/C have bad reputations. I finally found a used car dealer close by that I can trust and he fixes auto A/C.

4:30 AM and its 82 degrees  ::)
Today guessers say "Excessive Heat - Warning for the next couple of days.

We did have a 30-minute thunderstorm sneak up late yesterday afternoon, it was clear then "BOOM" a crash of thunder and the short TS rolled in.

Glad for good news, Delmonico, and that you're feeling better, Slim.

Johnny, bummer about the car.  We dropped my wife's trailblazer off for a much-needed alignment yesterday, and were told that the front upper control arms and ball bearings need replacing.  The way the car handles, it's probably true.  They quoted $700 or more to replace them.  Looked it up and I can get quality parts for a little north of $100 total, and lots of videos on 1A Auto and elsewhere of how to do it myself.

Still might try taking the car to a different shop to confirm they think the parts need replacing, and to see if they give me the same line about needing to replace the tires to get a good alignment (lots of tread left, but they say it's because the wear is uneven; I don't think we're replacing those tires again anytime soon though).

Nebraska has cooled off a bit.  Got some rain again last night and now getting a bit more.  High temps mostly in the 80s this week here.  Currently about 61 and forecast to hit 78.

 formulas for the heat index

Entered the temperature :      102  Fahrenheit
Enter your relative humidity:   71%

What the temperature feels like to your body:
