Well, if the sear and hammer notch engagement is decent, then trigger pull will increase with both a heavier trigger spring and a heavier main spring. If still too light then probably needs the attention of a 'smith. How heavy or light is the main spring? p.s. I am not a gunsmith, though I have done some gunsmithing things (but I draw the line at sears and notches).

Not sure how to test for light or heavy the main spring is. I have pictures, but that is about all I have. I also took the hammer out. There does not look like a lot of hook (meat) on the last notch. I can post a picture if that would help. Thx. -John

It's hard to tell from your pictures but it looks like the screw for the hammer spring may not be tightened down all the way. If it is not bottomed out against the trigger guard then tighten it down, reassemble the gun, and try the trigger. That might be all it takes.
