Work this afternoon, then Door duty at Church tonight for the Ladies Meeting. We watched The Sacketts the other night, my wife had never seen it before. Still a really good movie.

Rita went this morning and they did a larger more involved biopsy and it is cancer and the tumor is larger than they thought. They will do more testing and such and we have an appointment for the 13th, it is beatable and she is determined to.

Good morning all. Working on the second cup of coffee, starting to feel somewhat human again. 50 here right now with a toad-strangling downpour going on. Some wild winds last night, I expected that out pear trees would have been stripped of their blossoms, but they still got em! Wet today, but supposed to get nicer this weekend. Rita is still in the hospital, they kept her last night she was having trouble with her O2 and had a bout of A fib, not uncommon with here and having a General. Got up from my nap and the jeep car thing wandered back, a friend was helping and used it. Took kid to school and such, dropped us off at the hospital yesterday. Picked me up and told me to go nap and ran off with it and run kid around so far today.

Yep, I have a good support system.
I have decided some recent behavior by the dog was trying to tell us something was wrong. Also he has determined that I need naps before I know it, but usually with in about a 1/23 hour of him trying to tell me or he also does if I'm trying not to. I decided he's and undocumented service dog and probably much better than some who are that got an internet degree.

Thank you everyone, we'll get through this, we always do.
She will stay another day, they won't let her go home till she poops. (Just what you wanted to hear.) But they have to be careful because they took the biopsy through the rectal wall. She told me to stay home and run the kid around because she don't need anything and will either watch TV or sleep. A long walk to her room, I can get a volunteer to run me up there but I feel weird having someone older than me pushing me in a chair. I know, some people age better, I can walk but it wears me down do bad I have to nap and I have stuff that needs done. We actually have been doing this since our troubles began. It sounds harsh in a way but if we are doing fine and not in any danger of dieing soon does the other one need to walk all that way and sit in nasty hospital furniture.
We're to tough to sweat the small stuff.

Good morning folks. The Missus and I are heading to Jupiter Florida in a little while. Getting away and gonna catch a couple of Cardinals' Spring Training games. Should be a nice trip, the truck is scrubbed, I'm reasonably clean, so we are good to go.

The Missoula valley finally decided to get above freezing. 35 degrees and sunny. I spent my weekend in the service of Uncle Sam, much of which involved getting the rib re-examined by a military doc. Their prognosis is “yep. Still broke.” Thanks doc. It did get me out of the PT test though. ::)
In other news, Mrs. TK and I are leaving Missoula for good next week. So that will require a bit of work to get ready so quickly, but we’re making good headway.

At first, I covered my usual Wednesday, Saturday and also Sunday was needed.

Another friend of mine passed away in the night, he collapsed on Sunday, he was 70.

2019 at our Gathering for our FB group at RCS.
In August we were in the hospital at the same time 3 doors apart. Him and Mary came in, Ron in a wheel chair and Pitspiter was already there. The nurse that came in a couple times and checked on us said she wish she could stay and be a mouse in the corner. She said it was much better than any history class she ever sat in on.
Ron, like most of us had many talents among them he was good at several fires starting methods.
Worked with Boy Scouts for about 50 years as a leader.

Thundering light show and frog drowning rain about 3AM-6AM-ish as the front passed no known issues in the area, I'm aware of thought.

In addition, The Acting group players were in reading lines for their production of "Biloxi Blues".

Went to 3 appointments with Drs today, all in the same building, my youngest came along because Rita's daughter is a worthless piece of shit. ::) Yes I said that, her mother sees it and has for quit a while. Wound not have went with Rita's daughter with out zip ties and duct tape anyway.
We are doing some more testing and waiting on approval from Medicare on new experimental treatment that sounds like best route. Very big success from first small study. Besides it will help give data that may help people later. That is first choice.
Second is standard radiation and chemo, with all the side affects of that, with that hoping it takes it down.
Third is if new is approved and don't work plan 2 will be next step.
Plan 4 is if above only works part way is removal by surgery which does not give here more than 70% chance with likely a long surgery, maybe months in hospital and a crappy quality of life.
I will of course support her with what ever she decides or is forced to do but I also told her if it was me option 4 is unacceptable to me and would not be done, but that decision if it comes is months away.
I am pushing her to an assisted living apartment when the kid turns 18 and moves out, one that will take a dog. It's not like jail or the army where you have to have a pass. Put my outdoor cook gear in a storage place if no room where we end up. Brother has all my guns except my pistol in one of his safes and youngest and her hubby have a bit one. Loading gear could go to brothers place too, he has room.
Not for sure yet, youngest wants my pickup, and me go to something smaller since my gear load will be light unless someone wants to haul it all and provide help. Not giving up, just trying to plan.

Well we made it home and had a great trip. Supposed to be 55 here today and sunny, the weather should slowly start getting warmer the next week or so. Spitting snow here, just spent $141 on the dogs ear infection, been an expensive week, Jeep car thing needed new shoes and an oil sender replaced Monday for about a $1000 and the $350 Tuesday for the furnace.
However Rita got a letter from a local very large old church that said our problems had been brought to their attention and they paid the $2400 of the medical bills for Rita. I owe less than $500 so may see above water yet.

Rita has decided to go back to doing the samples thing at Costco if she feels like it. Went to pick her up yesterday and pulled in the parking lot and this is a mile or so SW of me heading my way so I grabbed the phone real quick because I was loosing the back lighting.
Best fake tornado I ever saw, just a snow squall with a heavy down draft, the kid and I drove into one about a hour before, nasty ground blizzard for about 30 seconds on both. Was rotation but horizonal instead of vertical.

Our pilgrimage was successful, as was that of the equestrian. Been trying to get settled, which is proving difficult due to imprecise labels on boxes. Opened a box this morning labeled “shoes/acc” in search of my boot dryer, only to discover said box contained one pair of shoes, a tin of polish and several winter coats. I eventually found the dryer in the laundry hamper ???
Mrs. TK has a job interview tomorrow, followed by a visit to the friendly local horse vet for some paperwork stuff, while I have an appointment at the DMV and post office, and try to track down a new pair of fire boots.

We had a coolish start to the morning at 49 degrees and expected high is 80.

My friendly FFL handed me this project, a NIB Pointer Acrius 20 gauge, it's a Turkish made over/under.
A rather nice-looking gun but quite stiff, you almost literally need to break it over your knee. :o
I was asked to smoothe it up, with the intent it will almost fall open.
I've made head way, but additional stoning is in store.
It is to be a gift to the new owner's son.
Update ... Success ! You can see the machine marks on the extractor (> screwdriver) that is what the
locking lug look like before stoning.

I may swing by Sportsman’s Warehouse as well to look for some Hornady Monoflex bullets in 30 caliber. The ole’ 30WCF is coming out of the safe for deer season this year, but California requires unleaded bullets. So I have to cook some of those up.

Thankfully had a yard guy out on Monday to repair some yard damage fro the winter. Now to pick out a couple of bushes to replace the destroyed ones.

I spent this morning helping my mom with some canning projects (today was beans and hamburger), and now I’m preparing to take the dog for a bit of a walk, followed by a trip to the USFS office to pester them for fun.

Howdy all, got up to 73 this afternoon and lots of sun after a day that poured rain. Worked all day at the store, Monday going to work out with the owner on an ATI Commander, gun is in great shape, I will bobtail it, done it before and got talked out of the gun by a cop buddy. Church tomorrow, then after the Afternoon service gonna go buy a couple of new ceiling fans for the back porch. The windows are in so they are going to put them in this week.

Good morning folks! 52 here right now, supposed to hit 65 and sunny today. Had a nice dinner with the Missus last night and bought a couple new ceiling fans for the back porch. They are supposed to start putting the new windows in within the next couple days. That will be nice, making the porch a three season room. Put some new fancy grips on the new Commander today to dress it up a bit.

Wife had MRI's with contrast yesterday, that is to see how far it has spread. Supposed to start an approved FDA immune system treatment on the 4th, the other she don't fit the criteria, if this don't work then the chemo and radiation. Actual surgical removal of it is not really and option due to quality of life after. Don't remember if I mentioned it but my fall last week was still sore so went to Dr last week and I bruised the ribs and the lung on the right side. All we can do is pain meds and muscle relaxers, at least sleeping better.

a FedEx email scam was going around that claims to be a "package delivery notification" from the company, which said, "Your package is held in our warehouse."
The scam was being sent around, got two today and have seen several times before
particularly during gift-giving holidays.

The scam was being sent around, got two today and have seen several times before
particularly during gift-giving holidays.

I got that one a while back on my work phone. I figured I would play along, pressed 1 to talk to a representative. Ended up asking the guy why Amazon would be calling me from a Verizon cell phone out of Los Molinos, CA, and they didn’t take that too kindly. Horrible customer service after that ::)
I keep getting one from an Indian guy claiming to be Medicaid claiming I’m 6 months behind on my premium payments. I am not, nor have I ever been, on Medicaid, and once again the call is coming from a Verizon cell number from Colfax, CA. Have to admire the tenacity I suppose.
Current weather in the Golden State is 31 and clear with a forecast high of 55 and rain later on. Mrs TK is going to the city today for another job interview, followed by some horse accoutrement shopping (new bit since the old one is too small now). I may get roped into that, but we’ll see.
Did a “PT hike” yesterday with my soon-to-be boss at the Forest Service. I think he was trying to get a reaction both with intensity and the remoteness of the destination. The joke ended up being on him though, since it’s a hike I used to do with the dog once a week. I showed up wearing a weight vest and toting a 357 ::) It’s a stout little hike, being 4 miles and 2500 feet of elevation gain, and I’m certainly not in the same shape I was in at 18, but I kept up with the joker.

Good morning folks. 47 here and wet, supposed to hit 75 today. Doc appointment this afternoon, might need to go by the store and see if they need me to help close. Cardinals lost their home opener yesterday in a WILD game. Hope you all have a great day.

Update on Rita, tumor is about the size of a fist, but has not spread beyond. She will start immune treatment Tuesday and have another one in 3 week again, then 2 weeks after the second she will have another MRI with contrast. If there is no improvement then they are fairly sure the standard Chemo and radiation will do it, if improved they will continue that immune treatment with the lesser side affects.

Was called into verk early because of systems being down. Had thunderstorms early this morning. The main network switch went down and doesn't want to power up, maybe because of the storms. Vendor is sending replacement parts. Hopefully they will arrive tomorrow so things will be back to normal before Monday AM.
