The Barracks / Sling for a Winchester 1866 musket
« Last post by Baltimore Ed on Today at 07:45:23 PM »
What would be the correct nomenclature for the sling that went on the Winchester 1866 Musket? Going to try to find one at the MACA show in Balmer next month.

I’ve gone the other way and as I'm down to 2000 LPP but have 8000 SRP I’m swapping lpp 45acp brass for spp [ srp] 45acp. Also have .455 Webley with small primer so my game plan is to use guns chambered in those calibers and consume the spp [srp] as much as I can. Ive also had my 45colt 1873 rechambered to 45acp. I fit a 45acp cylinder to one of my 45 vaqueros too. I machined a couple of spacers to fit on my vaquero cylinders so that the very thin Webley rim brass will work. Gotta be creative.

Well, been a bit busy here the last few days. Pretty weather, if I could get the back to quit growling, I would enjoy it more. I carried a 642 for many years as my pocket gun. Got talked out of it by a Williamson County Detective some years ago. Today my always gun is a Ruger LCP2 in .380 with the 7 round magazine, what a great little gun. Got my Sunday School lesson ready for tomorrow. May God bless you all, my friends.
STORM / Wedge question
« Last post by DeaconKC on Today at 07:15:41 PM »
Okay, question about an 1851 .38 Special conversion. Ran tight at the range, hanging up with cartridges in the cylinder. Tried the trick of adding the split washer, but then the wedge was almost impossible to drive in. Can I file the wedge down to ease the fit without compromising safety. It seems that would be preferable to trying to file either the barrel assembly.
Spencer Shooting Society / Re: Shooting A Spencer Carbine In 45 Colt

The wood finish on that carbine is different from what I'm used to seeing on the Chiappa Spencers, though I haven't seen a new one in quite some time.  It is also very pretty wood!

It's always been slow to open the page at first for me, but after it's open, works just fine.
Now that you mention it, when I am not at home and therefore the phone is not on wifi, sometimes the same happens to me, takes longer to open that 1st page than some other sites, but then is fine.

I have to say, I like this spare Rounds pouch.

It is heavy duty, came with 4 speed load strips (holds 2 = 10 rounds)
It will be on my left side belt and the J Frame in a Desantis pocket holster in my right pocket.
I wore it to a Restaurant tonight for its first outing.

I give it two thumbs up   ;D
The Longbranch / Re: How is Cimarron customer service?
« Last post by Mogorilla on Today at 06:02:32 PM »
I have nothing but good things to say.  Bought a Cimarron 1878 colt shotgun.  But iI did not buy from them, saved $25 and got it from cheaper than dirt.  After a box of shells right hammer spring broke. I sheepishly called Cimarron and they sent me a new one.   I call that good service.
I have received 7 registrations so far.

Looking forward to an amazing event!
