Match report: use of a .38 S&W "Lemon Squeezer"
« on: May 17, 2011, 06:47:46 PM »
For a change of pace this last week, I used the above hangun as my GAF sidearm at our local monthly match along with my Krag.    Used a black "Tanker" style shoulder  holster  clipped  to my double row Mills  belt.  Starting  off with 4 rounds and an empty meant an extra reload on 10 shot strings,  but I like reloads, so great  fun.  Light, handy  and more  than accurate  enough.  Very  positive  ejection, I can see why they were popular among officers, and those enlisted not normaly issued a handgun.

It won't replace my New Army, but its nice to have the option.   The SASS folks liked seeing me use it as well, its a weapon most of them are familiar with.  It certainly hits harder than most of the pop/ting loads you hear on the  range!   ;D
Civilize them with a Krag . . .

I shot mine in matches until the trigger spring broke.  As soon as I can get a new spring, I'll be shooting it again!
