A few years back I sent Mr. Imperato a suggestion that he should start making a replica of the Volcanic Lever-action Pistol.  I got a short reply back that HenryUSA only deals in long guns.

Well, lo-and-behold; they have now just released a couple of revolvers to complement their line of shotguns and rifles.
I must admit that the double-action revolvers do not tickle my fancy to any particular degree...

But this opens the road for us gun-nerds to suggest that they start making a replica of the "Volcanic Lever Action No. 2 Navy Pistol"...?!!

Such a replica would need to include a factory installed short-stroke kit, and a short cartridge such as the .44 S&W Russian in order to make it functional as a one-hand (read: middle finger) operated handgun.

So I hereby enlist the help of all CAS-City citizens; stop by the suggestion box in the link below and submit your request for a "short-stroke lever-action pistol" made in the USA, or not made at all...!

I applaud HRA in today's climate, not only built in the USA, but continued RD of new offerings.
I hope their new Revolver does very well in sales.

I will drop off a suggestion, and support their brand.

Talk about a fun small game gun! They could go 380 or 40sw to keep to keep the oal minimal or even 22 short. I'd pay two grand for one with regulated sights.

:)  Hey ALL  ;)

Ive jumped onna band wagon too.  I don't actually hold out much hope.  The market would be so SMALL, profit would be fleeting.

I remember several lustrum ago, there was a small outfit that started making a replica of the Volcanic Pistol.  I think it was a .22 and quite expensive.  Saw all the lead-up by the "scribes" and then it disappeared.  Does not bode well.

And there was a guy who built a replica Volcanic Pistol and a replica Volcanic Rifle.  I followed the rifle build on "Paco Kelly's Lever Guns."  Fell built it in .40 Cal.  Really neat rifle.  Never found out much about the pistol though.

FWIW i'll throw in as well, however I'd much rather see an 1860 in .44 special from them.

I'm thinking they'd be more likely to make a volcanic rifle (44 Russian probably, as mentioned) before a pistol.  Since Uberti makes the Henry, that limits HRA's sales of those somewhat.  But Uberti don't make no Volcanics!

:) Say Now  ;)

Ohh Ahh Abilene!!  Now that's a really cool idea.  Wish I'd thought of it.  A replica Volcanic Rifle in 44 Russian would actually be sort of a Medium or Small Frame Henry.  Held to a 20 inch barrel, would also be quite quick and handy.  Way KOOL too.  Eastwood is seen holding a Volcanic in one of the Dollar Spaghetti Westerns.  Real cute little thing.

Fella I followed on Paco Kelly's Lever Guns built a replicant Volcanic several years ago, that was chambered and built around a .40 ACP.  Since it was a "One Off" hand built sample example, the actual "real" cost was astronomical, but . . . . .

I remember that guy.  Lots and lots of pictures and info about his project (and LOTs and lots of machining).  I think those posts are still out there somewhere.  He was modifying 40 S&W brass.

Here's a couple of YouTube-videos of the gentleman who made the .40 cal. Volcanic pistol & carbine.

(I've been in contact with him, asking if he could make me a pistol or two. His reply was that he is a machinist, not a gunsmith, meaning he could legally make guns for himself, but not for sale to others.)

:) Well Ok  ;)

I'll fess up.  I have to admit I did help with Henry US's in box.  However, I also went back and asked for a Volcanic in 44 russian and a Henry Transitional in 44 Special.  I would personally hold out more hope for a Transitional in 44 Sec.  the transitional would entail much less machining.
