We headed out to Branson, MO today for a weekend with family. Hit 78 and sunny, a perfect day. Stopped for lunch at Neighbor's Mill and Bakery in Harrison, AR and it was delicious. Got to Branson and got checked into the timeshare without having to kill anyone. One nephew and his crew got in a couple hours later, so we got together and Uncle Kevin got tons of hugs and loving from the g'nieces. Supposed to rain much of the rest of the weekend, but we are gonna really spoil another g'niece coming in tomorrow as she made National Honor Society.

We actually have a late season Nor'easter going here,Temps dropped about 30 degrees, not cold enough for the evil white stuff except for 1500 feet or higher, but nasty cold rain and high winds. Not fun going outside since all the winter stuff is put away for the season.

It's been hotter than a three-dollar pistol in Harlem including the interest, Cola and tariffs  ::)
Guessers say a bit cooler today, then high 90's Saturday.
50% chance of rain on Sunday, Monday the goes up some for the rest of the week.

Evening all.

Guessers are calling for high 80s, sun and moderate wind tomorrow. Got a couple little fires locally, hopefully they stay small.

This week I got ready for three off-Forest fire assignments. All three were canceled. The last one was to the Jaw Fire, down in Mojave. Supposed to head down at 9am this morning, but got the cancellation at 6am. That's how it goes I suppose.

Tomorrow the agenda calls for taking the engine in for new tires(not an emergency, the current ones are just terrible for the intended purpose. Thanks Uncle Sam), then a whole bunch of training.

I have some history with the Goodyear Blimp one or two of them anyway.
We used to see it here in Fla. every year it was Based in Miami and later Pompano Beach.
In 1977, I worked on a Movie called "Black Sunday", in it a terrorist was to use it to blow up the Super Bowl.
I worked on a Gondola and false nose for the close-up at the Orange Bowl.
We also saw it a Races (Daytona) it and the Virgin Blimp over Disney.
