Nice folks at Shiloh
« on: December 14, 2020, 03:29:12 PM »
Received my .50-70 Business rifle a couple of months ago.  Noticed the lever drooping last week, checked the lever spring.  Was not cracked, but seemed week or soft at the screw hole.  Called Shiloh, they apologized and said they'd get a new one in the mail right away.  I asked if I could buy a spare firing pin as well, not a problem, they'd drop one in the package as well.  Got my card out, she said don't bother, Merry Christmas!

Yep, good folks and great guns. I had one that had the same issue and they sent me a replacement promptly. Make sure when you replace the week one you line up the breach block with the chamber so you have a smooth transition so your cartridges will feed and eject smoothly. You don't want the breach block too high or too low.

Shiloh's customer service is second to none. The Bryan family are just great folk pure and simple.

I was in there a couple days ago and they have a beautiful ‘77 on the rack with a gorgeous English Walnut stock. Lucinda told me I could have it for a nice price but my counter offer left with me and the gun stayed in the rack.

I am hoping for some Christmas consideration, but I’m not counting on it...
I never considered myself a failure...I started out at the bottom and happen to like it here!

FWIW, received the new spring on the 18th.  Pulled the forearm, screwed it in tight, everything aligned perfect.
