Right Nice Irons Everyone,.......Keep'Em Coming..............
Converted 5.5" OM to 3" ejectorless sheriffThat looks familiar. ;D
Converted 5.5" OM to 3" ejectorless sheriffIrish; Silver Creek Slim sent me a note that you had cut an old model Ruger into a Sheriff's model, and you sure did! Man that looks Great! Does the front of the frame have enough steel under the ejector housing cutout or did you have to build it up? Did you recontour the frame with a milling machine or is this all hand work? I've been a machinist for Owens Corning for 32 years, and already have 5 Stainless Vaqueros so will be hacking away on one of my own soon. Thanks for any light you can shed and thanks to Silver Creek Slim for the heads up. ;D

Nice Rugers there Rawhide! 8) They're new model Vaqueros... aren't they? 45s ?
Howdy folks,Now that's a fine Ruger OMV. Those grips have me mystified. How did they get that one-piece look?
Just adding a pic to the collection. Both
of my .45 OM's look the same.

My turn ;DHowdy Hoof, I'm planning on putting a Colt barrel on my Old Model Vaquero in the future. Did you install an ejector rod housing as well? Who did you send it to? :o ???
I guess this could be the love child of Samuel Colt and Bill Ruger :o

Sad note, had to sell the SS OMV for future SAA funds. :'(
It's just my opinion: Sell'n an OMV to go the way of a SAA is a Cardinal SIN!!!!! :o :o :o :o
Then again what do I know, I'm just a Red-Neck White Boy cling'n to his Guns and Bible living at 8000ft in the Colorado Territory........ ::)

Well it's been financially tough on this end Reverend. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Just a thought ... keep in touch with the person you sold it to ... he might be needing to sell it if the times get hard for him as they get better for you ... and would end up in a win/win situation ...
WOW Dog River Dan,

Andy42s,
I really like the look of your "Antiqued" Vaquero..... ;D!
Sure looks like verdigre (spelling?) to me. The antiqued guns are sure popular, but unfortunately, lost on me. Back in the days of the old west, the guns would have invariably been in good condition as they had only been on the market for twenty years or so.
I thought so Andy, I haven't seen but a few with brass back strappings and trigger guards, pard you did a fine job on this, and it definitely looks old and used, well done for sure. ::) :o 8)
