Members of the GAF,
I'm working to get more GAF members engaged. I sent out a general e-mail to the entire membership this evening.
The thrust of the message was to get our inactive or lost members reengaged. Some of you may get it, some of you may not.
If you do, you can disregard since you've already reported to the Barracks and we know you're out there.
If you don't, that means I have an invalid e-mail address for you. Send me a PM and I'll get it corrected.
After a brief period to let people report in, either at The Barracks or directly to me, I'm going to start doing a little reorganization. We'll need some new Department Commanders for starters. Bvt Col Bull Schmidt of the Department of the Atlantic has commenced operations in his Department, but we'll probably need new Commanders for the Pacific, Platte and Missouri.
We'll need someone to take over the webpage and enlistment process, and I'd like a strong Division Commander for each State to work with the Department Commander.
I'm looking for people who want to promote the GAF by getting the members in their Department to put on an event. I've mentioned this several times in other posts so won't repeat it here.
If you're interested, please let me know after I make the announcement. I'm working several issues and only have so much time to dedicate at the moment. I expect to begin the reorganization after I return from Iraq in a few weeks.
Thanks to all for your participation, support, and interest.

Reporting as ordered,Sir!
I do check in occasionally, just don't often have anything to say. Pa allus said "Better to remain silent, and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Mebbe that's where Mark Twian heard it too.
Please be advised that Troop D, Dept. of the Pacific, is asking GAF members and any others interested, to please wear their uniforms at the regular R.U.C.A.S. monthly matches on July 1st and 2nd, 2006. These are separate matches, and shooters are welcome to participate in one or both days. More info is available at www.rucascowboys.com (http://www.rucascowboys.com)

I've gotten out of the habit of posting since the TFS went down last fall but am working on correcting that.
Any word on who the new webmaster for the GAF web site is? We have some issues there that need resolved.

I`ve been asking me self the same question; Where are all the soldiers and NCO`s...?
I know I have seen some of the fight`n men around in CAS-City.
Snapshot, a fight`n man in all aspects.
-
Blondetta checking in. Enlisted and still a grunt but able to help, in any way you need.
-
Oh, I'm an enlisted man, through and through. I'm only an Acting Lieutenant Commander, USN in the GAF. If I showed up on USS Constellation in an officer's suit, I'd probably end up in the brig on bread and water. :D
I've been a private soldier in the 3rd US Infantry 1860-1865 for 'most 11 years now. I have been to the reenactor NCO School at Ft. Washington, MD, not because I particularly want to be a sergeant, but because it's good to know the duties of the next higher rank, in my case, corporal. If I can ever actually make it to an NCOWS shoot, I may be dressed as an infantry sergeant, an infantry officer or a naval officer, but I'm likely to be the first to salute anything in shoulder straps or epaulettes just out of habit :D
-
Rancid Roy GAF 104, scout, and scoundrel reporting in.......late as usual but sober.......this time.

1st day in CASCity, scanning through the barracks, I see a lot of people I know, I feel right at home.
