An old thread but decided to add a report instead of starting a new . The same old 28" RB 1876  Winchester in 45-60 wcf  with the early five groove rifling . Took it out along with a few others yesterday and shot the old rifle at 50 , 100 and 200 yds gong steel  that old rifle will shoot !  It was easy to hit the 200 yd . 18" steel gong time after time . That old five groove barrel still has good shine and sharp rifling . The clean up was easy . Thinking this old rifle needs to go on a hunt ! ,,,,, DT

It might could possible happen with a special order. Uberti is limited on what they can and can't do. You just have to ask if it can be built. I doubt they are even taking special orders now since the pandemic. I would assume they are still backlogged with regular orders.

Added a small filler display representing the Mexican Border/ Punitive Raid, between the Span-Am exhibit and the new WW1 Trench Exhibit (very near completion, mostly final set dressing)

I didn't understand doing the "white finish" either. If they were cheaper, it'd be a good option for engraving or custom metalwork but I don't remember them being priced any different.

Cas City Historical Society / Re: Burnside and Maynard in Action

Have a Burnside I used in NSSA Carbine matches for many years.  Have all of the assorted cartridges that were tried and used for many years.
Plastic/fiberglass, aluminum, and finally decent brass cartridges.  About a year ago, a friend had two Burnside brass cartridges and a brass Maynard cartridge that he gave me, that he got in some sort of trade. One of our guys shoots the Maynard, so I gave it to him.  I believe mine is a 5th Model, 25515.
