I've decided to be my grumpy self one more year and Pope Greg was wrong.  The New Year began about 10 days ago on the Winter Solstice.  I'm also going to be a Druid. ;D

Major 2:
I have a pot of Fresh Green beans with a ham bone in French onion soup simmering.
Not traditional I guess, :-\ Southern superstition holds that people who eat black-eyed peas on New Year's Day will be blessed with a year's worth of good luck.
The myths seem to all stem around the WBTS or be traced back to Africa.
My Folks followed the tradition so by extension I did as well, when I was a kid.
 I just happen to prefer green beans.... I just sampled a little taste,  :D GOOOOOD ....
