Dan is the guy who sbr'ed my tommy and did some extra mods to make it easier to dismount the gun. He knows his stuff.

I sign up but I can't get the site to work when I'm logged on ...just browsing it works, unless I sign-on then it doesn't work  ???

Dan Block aka deerslayer is a great Thompson gunsmith at Machinegunboards. Did my sbr bbl swap, cutts compensator switch, removable stock and dismount machining on my AO WH 1927.

Well, if you do decide to part with it, you should have no problem getting the Mauser you want.

The issue is, I have arthritis in my right hand , mostly my ring & little finger.
Makes it tough handle the Thompson....  :(

Are you speaking of how hard it is to cock? Do you have a lightened spring kit in it? If not, I have one I can send you to see if it will help.

Sorry that your Thompson is not working out for you Major deux. I tried mine [an all steel gun] without the buttstock once and it definitely was a handful. Also have the arthur, sometimes its hurting my knees, sometimes my hands, getting old ain't for wussies.

If You're having problems holding it, why not sling it...?

Holding it is not the problem, the factory springs are HORRENDOUS! It literally often takes setting the gun on a counter and pulling with both hands to cock the gun.

That was the first thing that I did to my gun, did some research for the lighter springs and ordered them and buffer material from McMaster Carr. I was also getting weird primer indentations on my fired brass too but now they look normal. Swapped out the very necessary huge knob [with oem springs] with a correct checkered ball that works fine with the reduced springs.
