Real American Black Walnut ,not mystery jungle wood or faux finish Tri-wood.
Solid and well made.. Walter Johnson @ TTn has a great reputation in Customer service ( can't say, I have not needed any )
I've had mine 15 months, shot well right out of the box light springs & large bead sight.

Sept. 06 Chronicle gives it high marks ... having lived with mine over a year I concur.
I handled three other TTn's just as nice as mine....and the new ones have CH colored locks.

I've had mine for a couple of years and its the best I have used.  Easy to cock the hammers with one thumb.  Nice heavy gun over 8 lbs, soaks up the recoil real good.  With a little polishing of the chambers I can use the Estate brand target loads and they fall right out after firing.

Mine is well made and I expect it to lask for a long time.

I love mine, had it a couple of years, I had a crack develop behind the tang screw, Walt replaced the stock and forearm with a very nice wood.   I'd like to buy another as a backup... ;D

Well because of the responses to this posting,  I am having my FFL guy look into ordering one of these coach guns.  Thank you for the input.

Well guys,,i might just take the plunge on the TTN myself. Thanks for all the postiive feedback. Its sure a handsome gun in the photos. Also, do ya'll know of a dealer that has the '72OTs or RM conversions in .44sp in stock? Im looking to purchase my  second handgun for this hobby and am totally sold on the Ot's or the Richard-Mason conversions either. Id actually like to have a RM Army in .44colt , with the 4 4/4 inch barrel. Know were ones at?

For your 72 OT try  philrezac@yahoo.com

for the TTn I'm not sure if Triggersmith still has his offered was in the CAS City Classifieds...
if it's gone then TTN International or EMF also has them.

I echo the praises above. I have had mine since mid-2005 and love it. In addition to the many lighter cowboy action rounds, I have sent many full power magnum loads through it also. Last Nov, I wrote on the BOLD forum about my taking my TTN 1878 to the range during our annual police qualification. I first went thru with a Rem 870 duty shotgun, then went thru again with my TTN.  My TTN amazed everyone (including me) putting 00 Buck at dead center mass at 25 yds and, even more impressively, put solid slugs, fired from both left & right barrels into the same hole (kinda figure 8 looking) at 25 yds, 1" left and 1" down from dead center center mass.
