Hey Bunk, just because none of us are as old as you, doesn't mean we aren't old enough to be in a nursing home.  But we're NOT in a nursing home, so we're busy emptying our own bed pans and figuring out which pills to take.  Makes it hard to find time for important stuff like shooting!  :)

This coming weekend is the SASS State Championship at Plum Creek, sure would be nice if you could mosey on over and say hi!

Most of the Cowboy shooters I know have to get permission from the nursing home to go to a shoot.

 :) Hey!!  Well!!  ;)

Second Saturday of this month, my nurse allowed me to take off with my walker and actually shoot at match.  I made it thru 4 stages.  Progress is being made you betcha.

I'm  still burning powder. Yesterday was 1880s day. Shot my 1886 win made in 1888 in 38 56 loaded with Swiss 1 1/2. Then shot my 1881marlin made in 1887 in 40 65 loaded with 2ff goex. The goex is a lot dirtier.  My main discovery is I can't see open sights at all anymore. These guns are going to get peeps.

I still go out and burn charcoal, despite the increasing Central Arizona heat.  I'd need more than a walker to get through even one stage so count your blessings.

I'm still looking for a black powder cartridge shooting buddy in the Phoenix East Valley (or anywhere in Central AZ for that matter) but until then I go out once or twice each month and joyfully make a stink and a mess.  (smiley face goes here)

A stink and a BIG ka-boom. I've been having thoughts of loading up just a few .38s and .45 colts with the GOOD stuff and mixing them in with the smokeless loads for when the kids and grandkids come out to play with guns.

      Greetings!

Being Incredibly Handsome is exhausting... Nonetheless, I'm finding time to continue my experiments with the .44WCF, and recreating
11X17.8R French Ordnance for my Chamelot Delvigne M1873...

I can't help ya. We've had a buncha rain and I was out on my knees looking for the hammer-headed land planarians that are alleged to exist in these parts o' Texas. Couldn't get back up.

Happily Breathing sadly not doing any shooting for a while.  Getting nearly too hot to shoot in AZ will have to suck it up in a week or so.
