I have seen pictures in the past, but, does anyone know if these thing are readily available? The ones made of brass or bronze that takedown.

Dakota: I know that Dixie lists a 3 piece rod that will fit the butt trap but I believe it is steel. The originals were four piece I think and I don't know anyone who still makes them. I saw one on ebay recently, it was not original but a reproduction that the guy said he had bought 30 years ago. I was goint to bid on it only to see it go for $100!!!!!! That amazed me.

Not sure if this will help,but I have a Uberti Hiwall that has the brass cleaning rod kit that comes in the butt stock and found it unneccesary when shooting Blackpowder Buffalo matches and thru it in the closet. So just a thought that maybe Uberti may have one laying around. Hey, a $100.00 a pop for replica cleaning rods, ...gold in them thar closets. :o
