A man bought a Uberti #3 Russian because it looked cool. He put it in the back of his safe for a couple of years, never getting around to shooting it. Then one day he took it to the range, and found out it was broken! The firing pin would not touch the primer!
Out of warranty, and no local gunsmith would touch it, so he tabled it at a local gunshow to sadly pass his problem on to someone else, if only they would pay him half the price of a new one.
That would be me.
Once home, on the kitchen table, the sideplate comes off, the hammer comes out, and a small, lawyer accursed part-that shall remain unnamed-is removed. Reassembled as God and Dan Wesson intended, it is hauled out to the farm, where it suddenly proves a fine shooter.
I love a happy ending!
