Guy in Lincoln, young fella, decided to take a video last week of him twirling a loaded Glock 17 like he thought he was a Silver Screen Cowboy, did not end well for him. ::)

I used to shudder when the "slick 'em up beyond safety" fellas would brag about how they had engineered a two lb. trigger pull on their revolver weighing almost three pounds.

I had my 51 Navy that way for fast draw competitions locally. It only got used for that purpose in that configuration. Once I quit doing that, it got returned to San Colt specifications, or at least Piettas interpretation thereof.  These days, the most I touch the trigger system is putting a D spring in my Beretta.

Engineered is the key word here, most people working on triggers have no idea what they are doing, the ones that scare me are the ones where they have it so cobbled up in won't fire anything but a Federal primer and people pay to have the trigger that screwed up.  My Ruger 32 mag has a very light trigger but will fire any small primer upto and including the CCI small rifle although my carry uses a Winchester small rifle (a legit swap but only on small primers never large).   It also will not fail the gun cocked but empty and the cylinder whacked a few times with a rubber mallet, late gunsmith friend of mine taught me that one when working on any trigger, rubber mallet it empty.

24 very large NY/KC strip steaks in the freezer vacuum sealed, need some eye of round or top round.   Chuck has got to expensive, the Susie Homemaker Pellet grill people seem to be willing to pay more than it is worth. ;D     Them pellet grill people have gotten as sensitive as Glock shooters when you tell jokes about them.

Afternoon all.

Mixed white stuff and regular wet stuff falling from the sky today.  Temperature has hovered around 33.

I got off work early today, due to lack of work.  There is an opening coming up in the company, over in the septic side.  My name has been tossed around for it, so we’ll see how it goes.

Good luck, TK.

A friend gave me some misc muzzle loading rifle stuff. Along with it is some pistol rounds, which include: .38 S&W, .32-7.65 m/m (.32 ACP), .38 SPL FMJ in RA 66 brass, 5.56 in 60's military brass. A few .44 Mag rounds have hollow-points with a cone tip in the center.  ???

There are hollow soft points. I think they are from the 60's or 70's.

My Good Slim -

If that hollowpoint has a "post" in the middle it could be a Federal Hydras-shock

"Hydra-Shok ammunition features a unique, patented center-post design and notched jacket with a non-bonded lead core.
Together these design elements are meant to provide more reliable expansion and deeper penetration than other hollow-point ammunition.
Center post designed bullets like Hydra-Shok have more predictable results"
