I have one of those rifles.   I remember the case holds about 100 g of 2F.  Bad thing about the gun is the length of pull at avout 13".  The men were smaller 150 years ago.

This also demonstrates why damage caused by the CW projectiles resulted in amputation! Even with modern medical treatments, it is highly questionable whether the leg hit by the 5.56mm round could be saved.    These tests also demonstrate why the vaunted .45 ACP could inflict fatal damage, yet might not STOP an assailant instantaneously.
