As I plan on shooting my 1874 sharps black powder what gear would I need? I know the cleaning requirements are different but I am also interested in what I would need at the range.

Tha is Robert

As a long time Sharps shooter I would suggest books. I found the ? Black Powder Primer? by Mike and Steve to be very useful.
Also go to the Shiloh Sharps forum for a ton of info.
Little powder much lead shoots far kills dead.

A good black powder solvent, patches, wiping rod, blow tube, and of course black powder loaded cartridges. I also have a bullet seating device for those occasional cartridges that need a little extra push to seat into the chamber so the block will close.

I am no expert by any means and just shoot for fun and occasionally hunt.

As previously mentioned the suggested books will supply you with all the excellent information you need and then some as well as the Shiloh forum.
