So, Trinity...

What kind of rifle do you shoot?

And have you ever stuck an olive up your nose? How about a grape?

< Just trying to help>

:D

AnnieLee

I've never stuck an olive up my nose... can't much like the smell of them (I like olive oil, though!)  Yes, I do believe I have stuck a grape up my nose, but it has been a looooooooooooooooong time since!!!

I shoot one of those Rossis with that awful brown stock.  I thought about refinishing it (as instructed on http://www.hobbygunsmith.com/Archives/Jul03/HowTo.htm ) but I'd be too afraid of messing the darned thing up!  Besides... I can see it now.  TC would make sure to deposit some hair all over the project!! :o

Ohhh.. it's TC not TJ!!

That's some fine shooting of a different sort, catching his tongue like that.

Well done!

:D

AnnieLee

Thanks, but it was luck of the draw.  I caught him bathing (imagine that!) and called his name.  He looked at me and I snapped.  I had no idea he was going to do the tongue thing.  I like the picture too!

Right now he is shedding like CRAZY!  I really can't stand the summers because of that, but he sheds in the winter too!.  I have given up on wearing any dark colors because of him!  I just bought a vitamin suppliment to help keep him from shedding so much.  Let's see if it works.

Whew! For a moment there, I thought you were going to follow up the picture of TC with a pic of you with a grape up your nose!
My dogs shed all winter last winter. I don't know why. I had and have dog hair all over the place. Derned double coats.

Does the finish on the Rossi feel "thick"? While MG's technique would work well (and it provides an excellent and durable finish), if it isn't a thick finish, you might be able to strip the wood with Formbys, then put on several hand rubbed coats of high gloss tung oil.

Boy Annie!  You don't know how lucky you are that I don't have any grapes in the place right now!!!!!  ;D ;D ;D  You will just have to deal with another picture of TC.

In Doctors Foster and Smith they had several products for to combat excessive shedding of dogs, but only a few for cats.  If you're interested, check them out at www.drsfostersmith.com .

No, the finish doesn't feel thick at all.  I might just give your method a try.  What kind of finish will this leave?

!!!!KITTY!!!!

 :D :D :D

It'd give you a high gloss finish, but it wouldn't be as thick as the one in the article so it could get dinged.

If you stick a bean up your nose, in a few days it will sprout.  The stem will come out yer nose and the root will lodge in yer brain.  Or so I'm told. ;D

No I was never a "stick up the noser", but my younger cousin one time was taken to the doctor with a bad cold, his nose was so stuffed up he couldn't breath.  Well no anti-biotices needed, just the Doc. Cains hemostats, his nose was full of chair stuffin'. :o

Me and my older cousins did more intellagent things, we seen a fountian with lights under water and tried to make the same thing in a milk carton full of water and a lamp. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
