Title: Started a new guncart today
Post by: DeaconKC on October 03, 2022, 04:20:41 PM
After running my old jogging stroller guncart for a year and a half, finally figured out most of what I would want in my next one. So today found a 2 seat jogging stroller at the Goodwill for $20 and brought it home. Started on it, still have some more stuff to do before Saturday's match, but pleased so far.

Will you be able re-use any fixtures, gun holders, etc. from the old one on the new one?

Yup, tomorrow I am switching out the magnetic mounts from the old cart. Almost everything else was just hung on the cart as I moved stuff around. Very little was permanently affixed as there was little space to attach stuff on the small stroller chassis. Also, I wanted as little permanent weight on the cart as possible to keep it easy to load/unload at matches.

Bought one to mess with but never used it.

Well, it's set up to go for Saturday's Match. Got the magnets mounted to help keep the long guns in place. Using bungee cords as they are easy to mount and dismount. Using a pistol case at the bottom of the long gun seat to hold the guns in place and found out it holds a box of 12 Gauge shells perfectly.

Nice job and the price was right. It should be easy to transport. I built a gun cart many years ago out of oak. I seem to remember that it cost me around $150 in materials. Also, it was way too heavy.
