Does anyone know if China Camp serial number CC299 is USA made or Italian parts?

Blue Book says they were produced 2000-2003. There was a time I thought all China Camp revolvers were made from Italian parts but I think USFA started making their own revolvers sometime in 2002.

I honestly don't know. I think Gary Granger would know but I haven't seen any recent posts from him. Perhaps he will see this thread and respond.

If you can see and handle the revolver look for the tell tale signs that would identify it as a USA revolver.

China Champ guns are all Italian parts gun to well past CC500.

Easy to identify the USA built guns though....hammer will be hand checkered and sharp and past serial numebr CC501.

Thanks.  Just looking at them I was pretty sure they were Uberti parts.  Hard to get a good look as the shop has the hammer zip tied shut and won't remove the zip ties and trigger lock.  They are sequential serial numbers but were used by a cowboy shooter (their intended purpose) and definitely show use.  .38 Special, 7 1/2" barrels, bullseye ejectors.

Sound like fun guns.  7.5" China Camp guns are really unusual-rare.   Uberti parts are easy enough to come by if you need to rebuild the internals.  Nice thing if it is required, the guns were left in the white by USFA so things like a cylinder ring could easily be polished off.

They do shoot however.  Our pair are tack drivers.  Not seen any SAA style gun shoot any better.

Sounds like Cabella's...no much in the way of customer service.
