BTW, the only reason Pards pick something other than the Smith & Wesson New Model number 3s is because they have never had the chance to shoot one. ;D  If they ever do they will realize the best any other gun can be is second best! 8)

That's really a hard question.....I worked it down to two, both percussion guns, the 1860 and the 1851.....then, went with the 1851 as my favorite overall.....then had to vote 'other' as it wasn't a choice.   :'(

Got my first handgun when I was a tender age of 12, it was a brass framed "Reb" model , .36 caliber, 1851 style from Navy Arms....it was my constant companion and I kliterally shot it to death.  ;D
Well..........Bye!

rugar 32's, stainless. i picked my girls because they fit in my hand very well. and the recoil is almost zero.
these were the first hand gun i touched and just had to have.
they are in consecutive serial #'s. and get this, the last 2 digits are the same as the last two #'s of my other half's and mine sass #'s. ;D
just had to have at that point.

shoot strait and always have fun.

Right now it’s a pair of Frontier Marshals in .45 Colt. from EMF.  Not  quite consecutive serials, but close enough for shootin’ work.  I fell in love with the Hartford when I won one at EOT several years back.  That's what these are, except they have the brass grip frame, that I also like.

Ruger 5 1/2 inch bisleys.  I favor the bisley frame and the Rugers are durable and inexpensive.  With a Wolffe spring kit they aren't bad to shoot either.

I would have to go with my Other vote.  I really enjoy shooting my Rodgers and Spencer and Star Single Actions.  My first handgun puchase was a Dixie Gun Works 1851 Navy, but the above mentioned pistols shoot so well for me.

Sorry, just can't decide which one I like better.

That’s bad business! How long do you think I’d stay in operation if it cost me money every time I pulled a job? If he’d pay me that much to stop robbing him, I’d stop robbing him.

Love my Birdshead Vaqueros for their durability and accuracy. Love my Rodeo for the unbelievably high quality of fit and finish and accuracy.  ;D

I have a cattleman which I like just fine. I am looking at a 4.5" USFA Rodeo used and in fine shape; may buy it soon. I like the look and feel of the Colt 1873.

  Hi from Spain again:

I love to shoot my Cattleman but, I  have a great affection for my  Colt Army 1860 and now  I am falling in love with my new Colt Walker, ( all are Uberti´s).

I prefer the old image. the old times, the old feelings.

Well my favorite pistols are my set of old model Ruger Blackhawks. They handle very well. Oh yes they sport a set of white grips my wife had made for me with my alias laser engraved on them. I think they look great.

My three sets of Ruger Vaqueros, 3 5/8, 4 5/8 and 7 1/2, all in 45 Colt. They are hell for stout and shoot well.

I checked my reply from a year and a half ago.  I still shoot the same pair of Rugers.  Take a licking and keep on ticking.  Great guns!!!

I'm with Digem... Old model 3 screw Blackhawks, tough, reliable, has the 4 clicks of a colt and just feel right in my hand couldn't ask for a better pistol

Hartford Armory Remmington 1890's are my favorite single action, why? cuz they are tough as nails and balance is superb for CAS use. They are also superior to ANY other single action out of the box.

I own a couple of Ruger Vaq's SS 5 1/2 in.  44 Mag.  Great shooters but consdider them a little heavy.  Considering the new Rugers.  Anyone have the new Rugers in 45 and an opinion of them?

I like the Remington NMA for balance and pointability. The action is shorter than anything unless it's been short-stroked. Lighten the mainspring, add a couple cartridge conversions and they're ready to go.
