UPDATE- The date of the 2019 IA. Muster is set for 28-29 Sept. As in the past we will have two skirmish stages and precision stages for rifle and handgun. New this year (thanks to the efforts of Major Double) will be a long range event. The main match and precision will be held at the Goddard Cowboys range as in the past, long range will be at the Big Springs complex in Searsboro (about a half hour east of the Goddard range). We will open the Colfax range at 12:00 on Sat. for precision and "happy fire" then those interested can head to the Big Springs facility around 2:00. The main match will commence at 9:30 on Sun. with registration at 8:30. The long range event is optional, anyone not there on Sat. can shoot the precision events on Sun. More details to follow, Al.

Attn. to orders. The Ia. Muster is coming together. The main match will be 2 skirmish stages with precision rifle and pistol scored for overall score. An optional long-range element is available on Sat. afternoon. Round count for the main match is 40+ rifle and 20+ pistol. Long-range round count is 15+ depending on final format. As always targets may be smaller than usual and a blade of some sort may be helpful. Updates to follow. Al

Looking forward to seeing you 2 !! Lt. Col. Quickfire and I had a good time in the Dakota Territory , to bad you couldn't have made it. It was a lot of driving (23 hrs.) But wasn't bad when you are with friends .

Having recently returned from Maneuvers in the Platte Department's Browns Hole region, I will make preparations to sortie the Chief of Staff CP to Iowa.
-
Colonel Sir!, please be sure said C.P. is well stocked with refreshments for the troops.
-
A requisition will be made of the local brewery.
-
Gentlemen, looking forward to seeing everyone. Is there any interest in a campfire discussion on either Fri. or Sat. evening? I'll be camping both nights, just need to bring enough firewood. See ya in Sept. Al
-
We will be in the neighborhood Al, whatcha wanna discuss????? Kind of tired about talking about Dumocrats and gun control(which I'm sure many of us believe is hitting what you're shooting at!).
-
I'll be there Friday evening with my trailer, a campfire is most welcome. Bugs Bunny, Popeye, Bogart & Bacall movies, and CinCHome's can all be discussed. Adult beverages may be present.

Banging B27 steel out to 500 yds. ( If you can hit them )
Full house loads
-
B.N.S.
Jacketed is ok , we have guys shooting .338 Lapuas at our range.
-
I can surely hit them with my 6.5 Creedmoor and 25X scope! Krag carbine and Sharps, not so sure, but it will be fun trying.
-
B.N.S
Yes our military rifles with open sights will be a challenge. I wish we had bigger targets for the longer distances. Maybe I can come up with something big for the 500 yd.
-
B.N.S.
I miss spoke , targets are Not B27's they are IPSC full sized.
-
Major Scotty, rations have been procured, and are stowed for transport.
-
Good news Colonel! Lt. Colonel Quickfire and I will begin our advance to the East Friday.
In your humble service,
Major B.N.S.

Attn. All, weather report for this week-end is low to mid 70's and 40-60% chance of rain. The match is on so plan accordingly. We may open the main stages early if it looks like it's necessary. We "shall endeavor to perceiver." See ya this week-end. Al

Well, gents. Runs With Scissors and I will not be able to go and play this weekend. Got too much that needs to be done before the snow flies. :-[ You all have a good and safe time.

Slim, Sorry to hear you two will not make it to Iowa this year but I understand. We had a great time shooting out to 500 yds. down at Big Springs Shooting Complex yesterday.
