How to dull finish on Uberti rifle stocks
« on: January 03, 2018, 03:06:42 PM »
I have redone many grips on revolvers, but would like to know if I can dull the finish on a Uberti 1873 rifle with out stripping the whole finish off the stocks, just want to dull the red high luster that come on them.
Thanks again,

Reno

Here's an option, although I'm glad that I later went ahead with the refinish.

Thanks CC Griff, they look great, and about what a Winchester should look like. I have a couple old walnut grips  I think I will practice on.
Thanks again,

Reno

Coal Creek Griff, I think those look excellent. Absolutely saving that little process for when I get my Uberti 1873.
