Colt Firearms / Re: Colt Lightning revolver with modifications
« Last post by RRio on Today at 01:24:36 AM »
      Greetings!

When I was in my 'teens, my neighborhood Gun Shop had a fairly nice Colt's 1877 that had been very professionally reworked / sleeved to .22LR; the gunsmith had stamped his name on the bottom of the barrel. I cannot recall his name.
A "few" years later, I saw a write-up in The American Rifleman's "Dope Bag" (?) that mentioned two gunsmiths that had "specialized" in converting Colt's 1877s to .22RF.
I regret not buying that 1877... RRIO, I send You a Hearty BRAVO!

Many thanks!   :)

All,
It seems all of the photos I have gotten of the convention are too large to upload here. I will see about uploading them to my google drive and then put a link here.

CAS City Classifieds / WTS/ Colt 2nd Gen 1860 F series project pistol
« Last post by TDW on Yesterday at 01:59:23 PM »
The barrel of this pistol was destroyed by cutting it down, and drilling several holes into the bore from the bottom through the creeping lever track!! I picked this up in a trade about 25 years ago, and have never done anything with it. I am cleaning old projects out of my shop, so this is going to go! Everything behind the barrel is fine, and I believe is unfired.
First “I’ll take it” followed immediately by a PM to me gets it.

$300 OBO shipped in a USPS flat rate box and well padded

I will take USPS money order, cashiers check, or a personal check from forum members with more than 20 posts.
Thanks for looking
