I have attached the 2023 Blue River Regulators' "Ruckus at Raccoon Forks" registration form. While not a regional event, it is the highlight of the Blue River Regulators' season. Plan to have a great time. While NCOWS membership is not required we certainly encourage it.

Another Ruckus is in the books.  A great big thank you to all the Blue River Regulators for all the hard work it takes to put on a great match.  We enjoyed seeing old friends, a fun match to shoot, and making new friends.  I hope we all are able to attend again next year.

We had a very good time also, first time period camping for Robyn D. Trane and she loved it, the shooting, the camping and
especially meeting new people and being welcomed by so many. On my behalf I want to thank everyone who made this a tremendous
success, the largest number of shooters in 19 years I believe. And finally as Marshal, I would like to thank everyone who steps
up and helps put on these major events, and the people that drive so far to attend.

Marshall, it was the largest shoot the Blue River Regulators has EVER hosted! It makes all the preparations, by a fairly small group, worthwhile to have so many Fine Folks attend. We sincerely appreciate the commitment of time and $$$ people make to come from far away. The Ruckus, which BTW was conceived by Jack Bursovsky, is surely our highlight of the year!

Oh, and a special thanks for allowing/creating the single-shot rifle category.  I hope that it can be made an official NCOWS category...after all, not all that owned a rifle had a repeater!

Since the Ruckus is not billed as an official NCOWS event, like a Regional, etc. but put on by the club, we make use of the freedom for any local posse to offer a category that may not be an official NCOWS category.
No need to write it into the By-Laws.
Let's hope that it will become a popular category at future Ruckus events.

I do not know how many Ruckuses I have attended. But I was taken enough the first time by the range and the people I met, that I joined the BRR and never looked back. I have attended all of them since my first one, even ones where I had broken bones, shoulders in slings after surgery, and whatnot. The people there were happy to help an injured shooter and make allowances for me. I, for one, am happy Jack conceived this great match. Heck, I already have my hotel reservations made in Seward for 2024. Thanks to the BRR Members that do this match. I live too far away to be much help at being part of the crew setting it up, but I wouldn’t miss being there.
