Just went over to our GAF website and scrolled down through the muster lists. Nearing 400 members! Outstanding! But.....how come so few troops have submitted their pictures standing tall in their snazzy uniforms? I know lots are working on them, and must have completed them by now. Show us all how good you look and attach a .jpg photo to an e-mail to Capt. David Velleux.
-
Because they are not posted on the web, does not mean that they were not submitted. I can't wait to see all the uniforms at the GAF Muster here next month.

Yep: I forwarded my photo quite some time ago, but no sign of it on the GAF website yet ....
-
The same with signing up with the GAF. Haven't heard anything since I submitted my info. Probably just a busy week!

Flashy-
I wondered where you were hiding! Glad to see you again! I'll have to check in here more often!
As for GAF backlogs - Capt Barrett has had computer problems the last month or so. He is now back on line and working to catch up on the backlog of enlistments and awards.

Well Fellas I finally got my uniform finished. It represents a Lieutenant of the Yukon Field Force that helped the NWMP guard the goldfields in the Klondike during the period from 1898-1900. Still have a few items to pick up but I'm ready to shoot.

Major Lewis undoubtedly wished to spare the tender sensibilities of the Ladies and any menfolk of faint heart, but I reckon we miight as well show the entire motley crew ...

Rattlesnake,
I like that picture that you posted so much, I had it printed on photo quality paper and is hang on the wall in my office at work, right next to the Oven Mitt that was presented to me at the Muster.

Well Blow Me Down if that's not the truth.... ;D

And here I was thinking it was a Highland officer in all his regalia!
Oh...wait a minute, you must mean the the famous naval person BEHIND Major Lewis!
I particularly like this photo because it shows four (count 'em, 4!) personnel from the naval services in it and only three army types. In fact, it would appear the Marines hold the advantage as the Army are split between a Rebel, a Yankee and a Brit.

Nae, laddie - since we couldn't decide which one of us would whup all of the "ducks out of water", we just let ye be! ;)

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
OK, Jack, you caught me....I should have said a Scot, not a Brit.
In the Marines we have a saying, "Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way!" We don't need to form a committee to "decide" what to do. :D :D :D

UNIFORM? WHAT UNIFORM? I like me buckskins and hunting shirts, don't need to put any regimental fancy dress coat on me!

Speaking of "Uniform Inspection" ..... though running the risk of frightening the children and offending the dainty sensibilities of the ladies, here is a small version of the portrait I had taken at Cody last month (credit: Major Photography of Austin, TX) ....

Thank'ee kindly, everyone.
As you know this kind of research is long & hard, especially for those of us who serve mainly in Armies other than the U.S.
Sgt. Hudson is still @ the Ft. :'(
