MM, those loading blocks look great. They have a real quality look with that very cool woodwork. For those who shoot different loads in their pistols and rifles, these are perfect. Thanks for the pics.

nice picture frame.

Chan Geer actually has patterns out for making picture frames.
pattern packs can be found here:
http://www.hidestoart.com/hides_to_art_web_014.htm

his wife was telling me that they need to design a better leg for the picture frame cause it wanted to lean too much the wrong way. Chan Geer used i think 10 oz leather for the leg and gouged a fold line in it to be able to lean the right way.
now its just leaning too much.

let us know how well the leg holds up on your picture frame.

  Howdy Knucklehead

I haven't made a picture frame, but it would seem to me, the best way to make the leg sturdy would be to simply insert some thin but  stiff plastic/metal/ or hard card board and cover with leather like 3/4 or 4/5 ounce, that would take care of the leaning and should keep the frame standing up straight, IMHO.

Welcome to our forum Ragged Earl  ;D

For your first project of sewing, I think you did fine, the next one you do with bullet loops, you might want to sew/or over lap the loop when sewing it to the belt or backing, this will give strength to the loop and keep the loop from tearing away from the belt/ or backing in this case, check our " FAQ/HOW TO " thread on bullet loops, there is a lot of valuable information there.

Either way, you did a fine job, and you can be proud of what you have done.

                                              Regards

I followed the FAQ. I stitched the loops to each side separately then glued/stitched the two pieces together.....Forgot to take pics during the process.
