Title: Fallen Deputy
Post by: Arcey on August 31, 2009, 05:24:25 PM
I’d like to curse loudly ‘n throw things. My faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ keeps me from it.

Rest in peace Deputy Ray. My prayers for comfort and strength for your family, friends and fellow LEOs.

It's always tough when we lose a fellow officer. This young man had just started his journey in Law Enforcement. This job has always been a dangerous one. We, as officers don't ever want to think our dying on duty. That's something that you cannot do. The Good Lord has a plan for us and he will take us when needed. My sympathy goes out to the young man's family and fellow officers. I've attended too many LE funerals in my lifetime and it doesn't ever get easy.

We had another Deputy killed in a traffic accident with a deer this weekend. It happened in Burnet county which is west of 35 W, between Waco and Austin. The officer was responding to an emergency call when his unit collided with a deer.
