Division of Iowa muster
« on: May 14, 2016, 05:24:52 PM »
To All, The Division of Iowa will hold it's muster on Sun. 14-Aug-16. The course of fire is two skirmish stages and one precision stage, an optional team match is also planned. Approximate round count is 70 rifle and 25 pistol, bear in mind this is a no miss match all targets must be hit-plan accordingly. More details as they develop. Al.

What a beautiful day for the match. It's too bad that I could not make it.  :-[

Did a Krag dominate this year?

The double was a .450-400 NE, pretty much equivalent to a .45-120?  Ken, the owner, shooter, had it loaded down to 45 70 level but it still put new meaning into "knock-down" targets! Thank you to Al, Dusty and Tom for their work! Speaking for Quickfire and myself, we really enjoyed the shoot and the company!

I just love the variety of the guns that show up at GAF shoots.

Any memorable pistols this year?

Sorry I've taken so long to reply. Had some issues that had to be dealt with. The Iowa muster is scheduled for Oct, 1st at the Colfax range. Same format as the last few years. We're working on a possible long range event on Sept. 30th but that is not a certainty at this time. More details as they unfold. Al.
