What about a Norinco gunsmith in IL.

Out in Shabbona, there is a gun shop called "Carters".  (815)-824-2354   They have a full time gunsmith, I just can't remember his name.  Call and ask if they can work on your 97.

The shop is located on Route 30, in the middle of town on the North side.
